Term 2 Newsletter

Hi Everyone,

This Term has kicked off to a fantastic start, with most classes now in the process of finishing off dance routines for the cabaret. We have been very pleased with the level of effort and commitment shown by our beautiful students!

Week 11 – No Classes

Unfortunately all classes in Week 11 (the week after the cabaret) have been cancelled, as 3 of our teaching staff, including myself, will be overseas. As all families have been charged for 11 lessons per class for this term, next terms invoices will be credited accordingly.

This year BBO dance exams for Ballet and Tap will be taking place on Sunday the 21st of August. Notices and additional details will be given out shortly to students who are ready to take part in syllabus examinations. If you have any questions about this process, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Cabaret Information

Tickets – Tickets are now on sale and selling fast! We are very excited for what will hopefully be a well-attended event, showcasing our hardworking students.

All ticket sales must be finalised by Friday the 3rd of June for table allocations and payment to be made to the venue. If you are yet to purchase tickets, please ensure that you do so before this date.

Raffle – We are currently organising raffle prizes for the cabaret. In order for this to be as successful and rewarding as possible, we are asking for donations of suitable items. Every little bit helps – small donations will be grouped with others to make exciting prizes. Please bring donations into classes, to be collected by teachers.

Presentation Requirements – Hair and makeup details are outlined below. Examples of these are up on the noticeboard at the studio, as well as on our Facebook page. If you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to ask.

Queensland 2017

In the September holidays, 2017, we are planning a dance holiday to the Gold Coast, Queensland. This opportunity is available to all students and families, and will include multiple performances, theme park experiences and a dance workshop.

In the past our students have travelled to LA, Hong Kong and Hawaii, sharing some incredible and unique experiences together. This coming trip is a little closer to home, with the hope that a decrease in travel cost will make the trip more accessible to a greater number of families.

We will be holding an information session at 6.00pm, Friday the 22nd of July (Week 2, Term 3). This session will provide all dancers/families with more detailed information about the itinerary of the trip, as well as approximate cost. If you are interested in attending, please let me know. Similarly, if you would like to know more about the trip but cannot attend the session, notify me of your interest so that I can pass all relevant information on to you afterwards.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us J

Warm Regards,
